Geek-Essentials

Aaron Mandelbaum:

My first Mac was bought in 1986. It was an Apple IIGS; it had an astounding 2.8 MHz Processor and could hold 8Mb of RAM (if you could afford that much).

Apple code named this machine Rambo and its price tag had a comma in it. Today, if I could find one, I could buy it with the change I found on the floor in the gym locker room.

Currently I am recognized by Apple as a "Product Professional" after completing hours of training. Product Professional is the highest level of sales training that Apple offers and is a requirement for all sales staff at their stores. The courses involve studying the software and hardware as it was released, staying on top of technology trends, and learning how to explain technology to the rest of the world.

Cureently I work for a top property management firm in Manhattan as an IT Project Coordinator, Photographer, and Photo Retoucher.

I have previously worked with Boston University as "the Mac guy", consulting students, faculty, and whole departments. BU owned one of the largest stores in the area so I would also consult affiliates of Berklee College of Music, Northeastern University, Boston College, Lesley University, Suffolk University, The New England School of Photography, Mass. College of Art, Tufts University, Emerson, MIT, and Harvard.

Don't have a mac?

Although I am a Mac man at heart, I am more than happy to guide you through the Windows world too. My commitment is that you have a comfortable relationship with whatever technology you have or want. This includes iPods digital cameras, and cell phones or Palm devices. Many times we are forced to use technology we don't understand. Other times technophobia has kept us from having the life we want.

Imagine a life where technology worked for you instead of against you!

Non-Technical Background

I received a B. A. in philosophy from the University of Maine in Orono and have completed various courses with Landmark Education, The Sterling Institute, and Peak Potentials Training. My years of retail experience and formal communication training have provided me the patient demeanor and active listening skills necessary for individualized coaching sessions.
